Designing the future of Eurasian collaboration
JACAFA Chairperson's message on mission, alumni network development, and cross-regional cooperation with Japan and Eurasia.
Kyoko Vrboski
Chairperson, Japan Eurasia Friendship Association

Dear JACAFA members, friends, colleagues and supporters,
It has been more than 20 years since we started working together, and we have reached a stage of deeper collaboration and expansion within Eurasian countries.
Our mission is to create and deliver values. It is not enough to analyze the past; we must design our own future and focus our network on meaningful impact.
Mr. Mori, Executive Director of The Nippon Foundation, shared essential ideas for future JACAFA activities. The platform concept below is preserved from the legacy message.
Aims
- Human resource development with knowledge and connection to Japan and Eurasia.
- Creation and strengthening of a Eurasian community concept.
- A sustainable and active alumni network across the region.
- Projects with NGOs, universities, think-tanks, government institutions, and companies.
Activities
- Research on Japan-Eurasia bilateral relations and regional studies.
- Regular country-level meetings across the network.
- Exchange student programs with the University of Tsukuba and other Japanese universities.
- Internship programs at companies in Japan.
Target groups
- JACAFA alumni
- University of Tsukuba alumni
- Eurasian students
- Japanese students
- NGOs, think-tanks, universities, researchers, government officials, and companies
Basic rules
- Every activity must be directly related to the JACAFA alumni network.
- Every activity must positively contribute to individual growth and the JACAFA community.
Kindly allow me to invite all, in joining us, to maximize these concepts through our JACAFA work and activities. As always, we are grateful for your help and participation.
With best wishes,
Kyoko Vrboski
